An opening ceremony was held for the garment workshop which completed by the contributions of Kuwait Al Salama Association and Akçakale Hilful-Fudul Association.

After the recitation Qur’an at the opening ceremony, Akçakale Hilful-Fudul Association President Hamid Ataman gave information about the association's activities and objectives. Stating that they started the project with the cooperation of Kuwait Al Salam Association six months ago, Ataman, said that they are in help for everyone who in need mainly Syrians guests.

Speeking at the ceremony, Şanlıurfa Governor Abdullah Erin stated that Akçakale has welcomed guests more than its population for five years and deserved the distinction of being ensar [people who help immigrants] city. Saying that after the developments in Syria, the Syrian seeking a safe haven most favored country is the Republic of Turkiye, which Turkiye hosted more than 3.5 million Syrian refugees and they live in full harmony and solidarity.

Governor Erin said: Their account was that the economy and social structure of a country that hosted so many people would be ruined. But Allah also had an account. There are also rewards for performing the command of Allah. We are facing a situation that amazes all the accounts of financial institutions.”

Governor Erin thanked the administrators and supporters of Akçakale Hılful Fudul Association and Kuwait Al Salama Association due to their investments.

Dr. Nabil Elown, president of Kuwait Al Salama Association, stated that their association established to help and support Muslims and all oppressed Muslims who fall under the status of immigrants due to the events in Syria.

Ayhan: Agents are spying in Akçakale

Akçakale Mayor Abdulhakim Ayhan stated that American, Italian, German, and British agents sightseeing in Akçakale, and do what needs to be done on the other side and share the land of Syria. “Islamic geography was never stand by our Syrian and Iraqi brothers. But after that I hope there is a new awakening, the entire Islamic world becomes unity. As is known, civil war is almost over in Syria, but external forces do not want it to end,” said Akçakale Mayor Abdulhakim Ayhan.
