Turkish National Defense Minister Fikri Işık, made statement to the journalists on the possible Raqqa operation and El Bab which the district center was taken from Daesh.

"Almost all of El Bab is now under control"

Işık said, "We know that it has been a while that we entered El Bab, today we can say that; almost all of El Bab is now under control, the center of the district is also in. Now, search operations are performing. After the search has completed, we will say that it has been cleaned completely from the elements of Daesh.”

Işık, underlined that the possible Raqqa operation should be done with the right elements, said, ”Cleaning of Raqqa and other regions from Daesh shouldn’t be done by using other terrorist organization but with the regional  elements that will not change the demographic structure of the region. We want that operation on Raqqa not with the PYD / YPG terror elements but with the Free Syrian Army and with the power of its own inhabitants should be done. In the case of such an operation, as Turkiye, we will give the necessary support together with the coalition forces.” (ILKHA)
