Ankara-Tehran train service to resume

Iran's Deputy Minister of Road and Urbanization Said Rasuli said Ankara-Tehran train services will start again.

In the 8th Joint Meeting of the Joint Commission, an agreement was reached for the relocation of Tehran-Ankara and Teheran-Tebriz-Van train services.

He said that there was a railway network of 13 thousand kilometers in Iran and that 24 million passengers and 50 million tons of cargo were carried over this network last year.

The draft six-sided memorandum on the movement of CIS (Commonwealth of independent states) wagons between Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey will be finalized in the coming days.
