Association of Diyarbakir Media Members [DIMED], has condemned the attack on Dogru Media Group that contain in itself Dogruhaber Newspaper, Rehber TV, Inzar, Nisanur, Nur Çocuk and Kelhaamed magazines.

Following expressions took place in the statement of DIMED:

Violence attack to make press stay silent is unacceptable which their purpose is to inform society. Thoughts and opinions can’t take under pressure with attacks. The shot on the white page which its pen express itself on it, is not only inability statement also a clear intolerance against thoughts.

In the statement they showed severe reaction against attacks on press and those expressions are added, “On this occasion, we curse attacks that carried out with weapon and Molotov bomb on Dogru Media Group. We found attacks with shot and bombs unacceptable against a media institution which they serve literal and pure news, publish thoughts in mediocre manner.”

Those expressions were used in the following of the statement, “Attacks of perpetrators and their dark supporter against press institutions which they serve for society must be uncovered. We believe those who show respect for words and life of pencil need to react against those kind of disgustful attacks. We believe reactions and attitude of CSOs in political fields and civilian authorities to reveal the event will prevent incident like this to happen again.”

In the end of statement those expressions were used within get well wishes: “With a wish of newspaper pages not getting shot and not darkened TV screens. Again, on the name of Dogru Media Group personified, we are sorry to hear attacks on Dogruhaber newspaper, Rehber TV, Inzar, Nisanur, Nur Çocuk and Kelhaamed magazines."
