Attack on a military base in Afghanistan: 23 dead
At least 23 soldiers said to be killed in the attack carried out by Taliban against amilitary base in Kandahar city, Afghanistan.
The Taliban is reported to have attacked the military base in Shorabak district of Kandahar, Afghanistan, killed 23 soldiers of Kabul government.
According to information from Taliban sources, a large number of weapons and ammunition were seized in the attack, and two military vehicles were rendered unusable. A Taliban member was killed in the attack.
On the other hand, the Kabul government confirmed the attack but made different statements about the number of dead. According to the government of Kabul, 9 soldiers and 16 Taliban people killed in the attack.
The Taliban announced before that nine soldiers were killed in a recent attack against the city of Farah.
