Many NGOs in the city also supported the press release that held under the leadership of the Gaziantep branch of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation [IHH].

The press release stressed that giving an innocent person his/her freedom is the most valuable humanitarian aid on Earth, which read by IHH Gaziantep Branch Head Tuncay Mengilli following Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque of Gaziantep.

Noting that they have organized mass rallies in many cities of the world for the freedom of women held in Syrian prisons, Mengilli said they salute those who wait for freedom in Syria prisons and those fill the squares and raise their conscience for them. "We know that there is no more powerful possibility than the shout of conscience for the oppressed."

"We raise our voice for the freedom of Syrian women"

Providing information about the foundation of International Conscience Movement, Mengilli said it has established for the protection of all children and women regardless of their religion and race.

"Conscience movement is a movement of mercy that aims to protect human life and seeks an honorable life for all. Last year today, more than 10,000 women from all over the world met on the Syrian border with a Conscience Convoy."

"We, as people from many countries of the world, raise our voice for the freedom of Syrian women who are unlawfully held, subjected to sexual assault and torture. We rebel against the use of rape and torture of women as weapons against women. We stand against these dirty wars," he said.

Mengilli underlined that all states that must implement international conventions effectively, international judicial mechanisms and all components of the international community are responsible for the protection of civilians, women, and children.

Stating that women and children should be protected, should not be held captive in any way, and should not be subject to any form of bargaining by the parties, Mengilli underscored that protecting human life and honor is the fundamental principle. "The fulfillment of this principle and responsibilities will only be possible when the conscience of humanity is mobilized."

"We say 'enough is enough' to all the pain, so much death, and persecution. We call upon the Syrian regime and its partners; stop using rape as a weapon of war immediately. Stop the brutal torture of women right now. Release all Syrian captive women. Let them return home, let them have their families. We call upon every member of the human family from all over the world for conscience."

Stating that he calls on brave and honorable women in the prisons of the Syrian regime, Mengilli said: "We know our voice has reached you. We are here, and we are all working together for your freedom. We will never give up on you."

"We witness the victimization of victims, the cruelty of the oppressors and the responsibility of those who watch silently. We take the stand of justice and the oppressed only. We know that it is also our human responsibility to the future of mankind and to the innocent children of the oppressors today."

"We call upon the United Nations, the organization of Islamic Cooperation and all other international organizations, all states that are part of this war, international human rights organizations, International Red Cross and Red Crescent and international humanitarian organizations that bear responsibility for the civilians in the war zones in accordance with their laws; let mobilize all your possibilities. Giving freedom to an innocent person is the most valuable human aid on Earth."

"We invite everyone who hears our voices to support this movement now and without further delay, to send letters to decision-makers and institutions, to participate in the signature campaign on our website, and to all kinds of efforts and prayers."

At the end of the press release, Mengilli noted that the common voice of humanity's compassion and conscience is the greatest force that will silence weapons of mass destruction and break the doors of the prisons. "Because we are human beings and we want human life for all. We stand until the last woman and child in Syrian dungeons are free."
