Recalling that Turkey’s average annual growth rate was less than 1% when they came to power, Erdoğan said: “We have increased Turkey’s average annual growth rate up to 5.1 %. The annual amount of investments in Turkey was TL70 billion. We have increased this number up to TL1.4 trillion. Our export volume was $36 billion. We closed 2020 with an export volume of $170 billion. Inshallah, we will exceed $200 billion this year. In 2019, we managed to turn the current account deficit, which had been the greatest problem of our economy for years, into surplus. Inshallah, we will see the same picture soon.”
