Mahmut Kılınç, member of the General Administration Board of HUDA PAR, visited the Iraqi Kurdistan for the 29th anniversary of the Halabja massacre that organized by HUDA PAR Youth Branches. Expressed his impressions to ILKHA about the massacre of Halabja.

Kılınç said that unless European countries and the US who made Iraqi Baathist dictator Saddam to attack on the Muslim Kurdish people are not punished, Halabja’s wounds would not be bandaged.

Kılınç reminded that on March 16, 1988, the Saddam regime was attacked with chemical bombs on the oppressed people of Halabja and that the 5,000 oppressed people were martyrs and thousands were wounded. Kılınç said that since then there have been various events organized in Halabja every year, which they had participated in this program with a crowded delegations from HUDA PAR Youth Branch.

Kılınç said, “We came to Halabja on the 29th anniversary of the massacre of the Halabja along with our Youth Branches, General Administration Board members and some provincial and district chiefs.”

Kılınç has been evaluating the commemoration program, said, “Experienced suffers are still going on in Halabja. At that time, thousands of people were wounded and injured due to chemical gases, along with those who were martyred.“

Kılınç later expressed that the Saddam regime had been demolished, that Saddam and his cousin Chemical Ali (Ali Hasan el Mecid) had been executed, but that Halabja’s wounds had not yet been wrapped in full force.

Kılınç also draws attention to the forces behind Saddam, states that "People of Halabja we met with them state that unless those who provided those chemicals to Saddam are not punished, wound of Halabja will not bandaged. Unless some European countries and the US behind Saddam are brought before the judiciary, the wounds of Halabja people cannot be fully bandaged.”

As HUDA PAR, Kılınç said that they are cursing the factions of the Halabja massacre and the forces behind it. He added that they shared the pain of the people of Halabja. (Osman İçli-ILKHA)
