Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif resigned. Zarif has announced he's stepping down on his Instagram account.

I sincerely apologize for failing to do so throughout my duty.

Zarif, who congratulated women and mother day on the occasion of the birth of Fatima, said: "I sincerely apologize for failing to do so throughout my duty. I sincerely apologize for the services and my shortcomings that I failed to fulfill during my duty."
