Usame Hamdan, Foreign Relations Officer of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement [HAMAS], who attended various conferences in Diyarbakır and visited political parties and non-governmental organizations to explain the importance of the Jerusalem cause, clarified the debate on the borders of new political documents.

Regarding the new political document that they issued for the establishment of a Palestinian within the borders of 1967, Hamdan emphasized that HAMAS had no agreement with the zionist regime israel regarding the borders.

“Palestine is the right of Palestinians from the sea to the land. We have never legitimatized israel until today and we will never. The resistance will continue in full. It is the resistance itself that removed zionism from Gaza. We will show that these lands are belong to Palestinians. Unfortunately there is an understanding that HAMAS will abandon the remaining territory.”

Hamdan, who stated that the issue of boundaries is not an issue that HAMAS made agreement, said: “This is the condition that we are in. We do not specify a boundary with them. Far from it they are in danger. The borders are definite. There are resistances over the borders. We say lines but we didn’t say borders. We speak of the lines they draw, not the borders. We would have accepted if we would say borders but we said lines. If we say borders, we would accept a state that exists but we have clearly expressed this document that HAMAS will never accept israel and in no way will give israel the Palestinian lands.”

Pointing to the importance of supporting all Palestinians in the resistance of HAMAS, Hamdan expressed that they also demand help from weak people as much as they can. (M. Sıddık Bilge - ILKHA)
