Housing sales decreased by 25 percent in Turkiye

Housing sales in Turkiye decreased by 24.8 percent, 72,937 houses sold in January 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In Turkiye, house sales decreased by 24.8% in January 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year and hence, became 72 937.

For the house sales of January 2019, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 18.4% and 13,455 sold house. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 6 785 house sales and İzmir 3 795 house sales with a share of 9.3% and 5.2% respectively.

The least house sold provinces were Ardahan with 7 house sales, Hakkari with 9 house sales, Bayburt with 17 house sales.

In house sales, 31 048 of houses were sold for the first timeFirst house sales in Turkiye became 31 048 by decreasing 30% compared to the same month of the previous year. First house sales had a 42.6% share of all house sales in Turkiye.

The most first house sales were in İstanbul with 6 019 sales. İstanbul was the first province in Turkiye ranking that had the most first house sales share with 19.4%.
