Iran to continue missile tests

"We are continuing our missile tests and this recent one was a significant test," said Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps aerospace commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

Iran has confirmed carrying out a recent missile test. "We are continuing our missile tests and this recent one was a significant test," said General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

Asked about US' reaction to Iran's missile test, he said, "Such reactions show that it has been a very important issue to them that has caused them to make hues and cries."

General Hajizadeh said that Iran tests over 40 to 50 missiles every year, adding that Americans' reaction to Iran's missile test indicates that it has put pressure on them.

He did not mention the name of the missile that Iran test-fired recently.

Earlier of December, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Iran of testing a medium-range ballistic missile capable of "carrying multiple warheads," which he said could strike "anywhere" in the Middle East and even parts of Europe.
