Iran’s Rouhani comes to Turkiye

After Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who visited Tehran last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has reportedly come to Turkiye.

A high-level delegation, headed by Iranian President Hasan Rouhani, was announced to come to Turkiye in the coming days.

It was stated that Iran’s Hasan Rouhani will come to Turkiye to D-8 leader summit known as developing Muslim countries, and will reportedly hold bilateral meetings with President Erdoğan.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Behram Kasımi said in a statement that Iran will be represented at a high level and necessary programming was done in this context for the D-8 leaders’ summit which will be held in the last week of October.

Kasımi stated that the visit of President Erdoğan had many benefits while considered the bilateral relations and regional developments with Iran, said that such visits and consultations will continue.

Reminding that D-8 leaders’ summit will be held on October 19-20, Kasımi said: “We will participate as a senior in Iran. The work on the program is about to end. We will make more detailed explanations about the topic before the meeting.”

Kasımi continued: “Extensive assessment was made on the subject in the press both written and visual on the visit of Mr. Erdoğan to Iran and the evaluations made were aspects generally positive. Mr. Erdoğan's visit is very efficient, has been a very useful visit. Friendly and nice consultations were held at various levels, negotiations were held with the Religious Leader. Consultations on regional issues, as well as bilateral strategic relations, were made with the Mr. Erdoğan's visit.
