North Macedonia’s Health Minister resigns after deadly hospital fire
North Macedonian Health Minister Venko Filipce said that he submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
His resignation came after Wednesday’s fire at the modular covid center in Tetovo which claimed at least 14 lives.
Filipce initially refused to step down as Health Minister but he decided to resign after public outrage.
Deputy Minister of Health and two directors of the Kalkandelen Clinic announced that they had resigned within the day.
