Orphans Foundation continues to help Arakanese Muslims

The Foundation of Orphans continues to work on helping Arakanese Muslims who are taking refuge in Bangladesh because of the massacres of the Myanmar army and Buddhist gangs.

The Foundation of Orphans, continue to deliver aid materials to camps where more than 2 million took shelter and located on the border of Bangladesh-Arakan.

Orphans Foundation officials distributed aid materials and food packages in the Cox's Bazaar which is the largest of the 18 camps and host for more than 500 thousand Arakanese Muslims.

More than 500 thousand children and more than 100 thousand widows continue to survive in hard conditions in the camps in Bangladesh, while many more Arakanese Muslims had to take refugee India and Malaysia.

"There is a great humanitarian drama here. Hundreds of thousands of Muslim who escaped from massacres are living in a very miserable situation in these villages. We are distributing the basic necessities, especially the food, to the people. We ask all Muslims for prayer and help for their brothers and sisters. We should be with our brothers and sisters of Arakan," said Sertaç Tekdal, Vice-Chairman of the Orphans Foundation who provided information on aid activities in Bangladesh.
