Pakistan captures two Indian pilots

Pakistan, which said it has shot down two Indian fighter jets that violated its airspace, announced that the two Indian pilots were taken captive and shared the photos of the pilot with the press.

The Pakistani army has announced that it has hit two Indian fighter jets that violate its airspace. According to the statement, one of the aircraft falls under the Pakistan-controlled division of the disputed Kashmir region, while the other falls on the Indian side.

Army spokesperson Major General Asif Gafur said in a statement, two of the Indian pilots of the aircraft were "caught".

After Pakistan announced that two Indian aircraft had been shot down, India confirmed that a fighter had fallen as a result of the Pakistani aircraft prevent the attempt to attack, and a pilot had missing.

A spokesman for the Indian Foreign Ministry suggested that Indian aircrafts clashed with Pakistani aircraft and that one of Pakistan's planes was shot down by Indian warplanes.

Airports closed

Pakistan and India announced that numerous airports were closed to national and international flights on the air-escalating tensions with the fall of warplanes.

In Pakistan, the airports in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Islamabad were closed for civilian and commercial flights.

On the Indian side, flights were stopped at the airports in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Chandigarh, and Amritsar.
