Saudi Arabia: We do not extradite our citizens

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir announced Sunday that they will not extradite Saudi citizens over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi as sought by Turkish judiciary.

Speaking at the Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said the Saudi will not extradite its citizens, whom Turkish court issued an arrest warrant over the murdering of Jamal Khashoggi.

A Turkish court on Wednesday issued arrest warrants for former Saudi intelligence chief Ahmad al-Assiri and former adviser to the royal court Saud al-Qahtani, at the request of Istanbul's chief prosecutor over the Khashoggi murder for "deliberate killing by designing, monstrous, and torturing," crime.

A total of 21 people are being tried in Saudi Arabia for murdering journalist Jamal Khashoggi, including 5 individuals requested to be executed.

On the other hand, the United Nations wants an international investigation over Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered on October 2 in Saudi Arabia Consul Building in Istanbul.
