While the wounds are binding up in Iraqi Kurdistan Germiyan's Darbandikhan, earthquake victims are watching helplessly to the debris of their destroyed homes. While many houses in the district are destroyed, hundreds of houses are damaged and become unusable. Thirteen schools were completely destroyed in the district and two hospitals became unusable. Villagers were evacuated due to the destruction of the district dam.

There are serious water problems in the district due to the fact that 3 large generators that provided water needs are completely destroyed.

On the other hand, some citizens are trying to build their own destroyed houses with their own means. The victims of the earthquake are waiting for help to reach them.
