It was decided to change the name of Nevzat Tandoğan Street in Ankara to "Olive Branch", where the US Embassy is located. The decision of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality took attention especially in the period where there is tension between the US and Turkiye over Afrin operation.

Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Tuna has announced that he has signed a proposal to replace the name of the street passing in front of US Embassy as "Olive Branch".

Tuna shared his photograph from his Twitter account when signing the proposal to change the name of the US embassy's street.

Tuna, in sharing, said:

"We signed the proposal that changed the name of Nevzat Tandoğan Street, which is passing in front of the US Embassy, to 'Olive Branch'. We will present the presidential proposal to our Ankara Metropolitan Assembly."
