"Tools for the U.S. to reach its goals and interests may change"

Security Expert Abdullah Ağar evaluated the decision of the U.S. to withdraw its military presence in Syria, stressed that the tools for the U.S. to reach its goals and interests may change.

Tribal leaders and representatives held a meeting on Friday in Azez, district of Aleppo, after the U.S. announced to withdraw its troops from Syria.

The leaders of the Syrian tribes gave the message that they want to live in peace in the country where they did not want any international country, especially the USA, and the PKK/PYD/YPG, and DEASH.

Speaking to ILKHA correspondent, security expert Abdullah Ağar noted that the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from Syria should be read well.

Stating that the conditions, conjunctures and power balances in Syria have changed a lot, Ağar drew attention that in a region where these changes are made, the U.S. will produce different effects from different axes and try to reach its own targets and interests again.

Ağar pointed out that the US will not give up on its targets and interests in Syria. "But depending on the actual situations, the tools for the U.S. to reach its goals and interests may change."

Saying that there is an obvious power fight within the U.S., Ağar added that, "The U.S. Defense Secretary Mattis' resignation clearly proves it. Now all this will come together and a new formula will emerge, and the United States will implement it."
