Interior Ministry announced that, Mardin Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Turk, arrested Siirt Mayor Tuncer Bakırhan and Van Metropolitan Mayor Bekir Kaya were removed from duty.

Governor Yaman was appointed Deputy Mayor to the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality

In written statement made by Ministry following information was given, "Mardin Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Turk, detained Mayor of Van Metropolitan Municipality Bekir Kaya, arrested Siirt Mayor Tuncer Bakırhan  were removed from their duties with the 11.16.2016 decision of Interior Ministry.

With the order of Ministry of Interior; Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman appointed to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor, Siirt Deputy Governor Ceyhun Dilşad Taşkın appointed as Vice Mayor of Siirt. Van Metropolitan Mayor Bekir Kaya was removed from his position; Van Governor Ibrahim Taşyapı has been appointed as Deputy Mayor."
