Turkey to accelerate its judicial reform efforts, Erdoğan says

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the new judicial year.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new judicial year, Erdoğan said: “In the new judicial year, we will accelerate our judicial reform efforts which will relieve both our justice system and our nation. With the awareness that humanity’s pursuit of justice will go on forever, we will incessantly continue our efforts.”

“We have always kept alive our will for reform in justice”

“In the new judicial year, we will accelerate our judicial reform efforts which will relieve both our justice system and our nation. With the awareness that humanity’s pursuit of justice will go on forever, we will incessantly continue our efforts,” Erdoğan said.

Erdoğan continued his speech as follows: “During our administration, we have always kept alive our will for reform in justice, as has been the case in all areas. The Judicial Reform Strategy Document, which was declared in 2019, and the Human Rights Action Plan, which we shared with our nation in last March, were the last links in our will for judicial reform. Our reform strategy is based on our ideal of ‘free individual, strong society and a more democratic Turkey.’”

“The path to further strengthening turkey is through law, democracy and development”

Underscoring that the path to further strengthening Turkey is through law, democracy and development, Erdoğan said: “To this end, we work day and night.”

“We wholeheartedly believe that societies and states can survive so long as conscience and justice prevail,” Erdoğan underscored.
