Victoria Miroslaw (33), a German citizen of Poland origin, who worked as an operation technician in Germany and met a businessman in Gaziantep, said the words of Shahada and became a Muslim and got Emel name.

Victoria Miroslaw, a Muslim who said the words of Shahada with the conversion ceremony held in Gaziantep Provincial Mufti, stated that she was exploring Islam to be a Muslim and that she was experiencing the excitement and happiness of being a Muslim by saying the words of Shahada in her own desire.

Miroslaw said that she met Mustafa Akar in Antalya, where he came for a holiday from Germany, and that she got married a year ago. She said she accepted to be a Muslim in her own desire.

A ceremony was held for Christian Victoria Miroslaw (33) who applied to the Provincial Mufti of Gaziantep to become a Muslim.

Provincial Mufti Ahmet Çelik, Deputy of Mufti Mehmet Yaman attended the ceremony, which began with the recitation of Holy Qur’an. After the Mufti Çelik made illuminating statements to Victoria Miroslaw about Islam and Muslims, the conversion ceremony was held.

Conversion certificate and a Holy Quran were given to Victoria Miroslaw, by the Provincial Mufti Ahmet Celik. After that, Miroslaw said that she wanted to learn Islam better and changed her name as Emel.

Also in the ceremony, Amine was given as a name to the new-born daughter of the pair of Mustafa and Emel Akar. (İbrahim Koçyiğit-ILKHA)
