Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 48,795
74 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 48,795, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,336,073, after 5,626 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 929 patients are in critical condition, 5,206,836 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
More than 57,223,789 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
