Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 4,489
28 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 4,489, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Friday.
Turkey has so far reported 162,120 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 1,141 cases in the last 24 hours.
125,963 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.
While 662 patients are being treated in intensive care unit, there are some 324 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
A total of 1,964,364 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country.
