After 505 new deaths were reported on Monday, the number of fatalities from the virus reached 99,805 in the country.

Until now, about 403,312 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 372,494 confirmed cases, with at least 29,310 deaths.

According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 348,126 people across the world.
