Water level rises more than 6 meters in Austria

The water level in the Tyrol province of Austria rose by 6.5 meters while flooding has affected life negatively.

Due to the melt of snow and the weather conditions in the region, the rise in water level in the province of Tyrol in Austria has occurred. The flood caused by the rising water level of 6.5 meters adversely affected life.

The rising water ratio was the most in the Inn River. There was a rise of 6,23 meters at the water level. Water level rise was the highest in 30 years. In 2005, there was an increase in water levels due to rainfall in the Tyrol region.

Large security measures were taken in the region due to water increases, studies took place around the country with 140 fire brigade truck and 600 firefighters, most bridges, roads, and underpasses blocked.

A firefighter, who took security measures to prevent increased water, was severely injured as a result of an accident by an alcoholic vehicle driver.

Tyrol governor Günther Platter announced that the situation is under control, and supervised by experts.
