Turkey records 216 coronavirus deaths, 29,104 new cases within 24 hours
216 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 64,054, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 7,154,070, after 29,104 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 633 patients are in critical condition, around 6,6 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
More than 86 million tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
