In Saudi Arabia, 11 princes, 4 ministers and dozens of former ministers were reportedly taken into custody under the corruption investigation.
According to Al Arabiya news, on the verdict of the Anti-Corruption Commission which was set up in the presidency of the Minister of Defense and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Selman tonight, the 11 princes and 4 ministers in office, along with dozens of former ministers were taken into custody.
The statement made by the Commission, and flooding that occurred in Jeddah in 2009 and "MERS" files associated with the respiratory syndrome called re-opened the case.
King Selman has been authorized by the commission to investigate, detain detainees, impose travel restrictions, and seize bank accounts while informing that the commission has been formed to investigate corruption cases.
According to the Saudi Arabian royal decree published in the official news agency SPA, Royal Guard, Navy Commander of Economy and Planning ministers were changed.
Emir Mutab bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz who served as Minister of the Royal Guard and close to the former Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayif was dismissed from his post, and replaced with Emir Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Muqrin.
Ministry of Economy and Planning carrying out the tasks Engineer Adil bin Muhammad Faqih was also dismissed and preplaced with Muhammad bin Mezid Et-Tuveyciri.
In addition, Navy Commander Admiral Abdullah bin Sultan bin Muhammad was replaced with Admiral Fehd bin Abdullah al Gafili.
