22nd joint Turkish-Russian land patrol conducted in Idlib

22nd joint Turkish-Russian land patrol has been conducted in Idlib province of northern Syria, Turkey Defense Ministry announced in a statement on Wednesday.

“According to the Turkey-Russian Federation Agreement/Protocol; 22nd TUR-RF Combined Land Patrol on M-4 Highway in Idlib, comprising the entire route between Trumbah and Ayn Al Havr, was conducted with the participation of land and air elements,” statement said.

After the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 5, 2020, Russia and Turkey came to a cease-fire agreement in Syria, which included joint Russian and Turkish patrols of a 12 kilometers (7.5 mile) wide corridor alongside the M4 Motorway that runs through Idlib to Latakia.
