25 IEDs disposed in the Peace Spring area, Turkey's Defense Ministry says

25 IEDs, which were planted by PKK/YPG members, have been disposed by Turkish troops, Turkey's Defense Ministry announced on Twitter on Sunday.

"The detection and disposal of mines continue, which were planted by PKK/YPG members at aiming and killing civilians. 25 IEDs that were detected by our commandos in the Peace Spring area have been promptly disposed of by our Mine/IED detection and disposal (METI) teams," the ministry said.

On Oct. 9, 2019, Turkish military launched Operation Peace Spring to remove YPG/PKK members from northern Syria east of the Euphrates River in order to ensure the security of Turkey’s borders.
