30 people dead after god mine collapses in Congo

30 people died when a gold mine collapsed in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the local reports said.

A landslide triggered by recent heavy rains caused the incident that happened in Haut-Uele province of Democratic Republic of Congo.

The bodies of 30 workers have been removed from the quarry in an unlicensed mine in the Watsa area on the Uganda border. The total number of workers in the mine is unknown.
