32 Turkish nationals died abroad from coronavirus pandemic, Çavuşoğlu says

32 Turkish nationals living abroad have died from the coronavirus pandemic, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Wednesday.

“The relatives of some victims wanted to bring the bodies to Turkey. We don't have scheduled flight but we do have cargo flights. We're providing the necessary support to them," the minister said.

The minister noted that 2,721 Turkish students from eight countries were brought back and placed in quarantine on Tuesday.

“The ministry is coordinating efforts to facilitate return of foreign citizens to their home,” he added.
