4.1 magnitude earthquake hits off northwestern Turkey

A 4.1 magnitude struck the Aegean Sea off the coast of Gökçeada district in Çanakkale province on Monday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 12:14 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 40.1433 degrees north and a longitude of 25.1393 degrees east, and at a depth of 9.56 km.
