4.8 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia, killing at least 3 people

At least three people were killed after an earthquake struck the Indonesian tourist island Bali on Saturday, the country’s National Board for Disaster Management said.

The earthquake happened at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter early morning on Saturday at 4:18 am local time, the agency said.

Two people died when the quake triggered a landslide that buried their house in Bangli regency while another person was killed in the port town of Karangasem, according to local sources.
