59 more people die from COVID-19 over past 24 hours in Iran

The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 8,071 in Iran after 59 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Thursday.

3,574 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 164,270 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.

2,569 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 127,485 patients have gained recovery. 

So far, 1,019,362 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.

According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 388,419 with 6,596,048 cases and more than 3,187,877recoveries.
