7 people dead in Nigeria military plane crash

Seven people on board a military aircraft died in a crash Sunday near Nigeria's capital Abuja, the Air Force spokesman Ibikunle Daramola announced.

“There are no survivors from Sunday’s accident involving Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft from Abuja to Niger State,” Daramola said, adding that the aircraft crashed while returning to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport after reporting engine failure en-route Minna.

Daramola said seven military personnel were on board but did not reveal the identities of the victims.

NAF spokesman said more investigation has been launched into the crash.
