No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack so far but the local officials have blamed Taliban for the attack.
The clashes took place after gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in the village of Rigi on the outskirts of provincial capital Farah city, according to the local reports.
Taliban declared a three-day ceasefire during Eid al-Fitr but it didn’t accept to extend the ceasefire, which ended on Tuesday night.
