A 3.9 magnitude earthquake jolts Istanbul, Turkey’s most crowded city

A 3.9 magnitude earthquake has shaken the Kartal district of Turkey’s northwestern Istanbul province, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said on Saturday.

The earthquake took place at around 15:07 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 40.9413 degrees north and a longitude of 29.2328 degrees east, and at a depth of 7.06 km.
