A 4.0 magnitude earthquake jolts southern Iran

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake has taken place near Kish, Hormozgan, the Iranian Seismological Center said on Wednesday.

The earthquake was recorded at 8:59 am local time, at a shallow depth of 18 km below the surface.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages to buildings.
