A 4.1 magnitude earthquake hits western Turkey

The 4.1 magnitude quake hit the Karaburun district of Turkey’s western Izmir province on Saturday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 19:09 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.9455 degrees north and a longitude of 26.0831 degrees east, and at a depth of 7.08 km.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
