A 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurs in Aegean Sea

The offshore quake took place off the coast of the Samos Island, a Greek island in the eastern Aegean Sea, separated from Turkey by the mile-wide Mycale Strait, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 12:34 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 37.8020 degrees north and a longitude of 26.8140 degrees east, and at a depth of 9.90 km.

The earthquake was felt in Turkey’s western provinces, including Izmir, Manisa and Muğla.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages to buildings.
