A 4.4 magnitude earthquake hits western Turkey

The 4.4 magnitude quake hit the Aegean Sea off the coast of Urla district in Izmir province on Tuesday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 10:30 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 37.7655 degrees north and a longitude of 26.4175 degrees east, and at a depth of 5.29 km.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
