A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hits western Turkey

The 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred Kırkağaç district of Manisa province in western Turkey on Tuesday, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced.

The 4.8-magnitude earthquake, centered on Kırkağaç district in Manisa, occurred at 14:26 local time. The earthquake was felt in neighboring provinces of Manisa, İzmir, Uşak, Çanakkale and Balıkesir in the Aegean region.

Kandilli Observatory revised the size of the earthquake to 5.1

No casualties or damage has been reported so far.
