A 5.9 magnitude earthquake strikes Greece

An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 struck 120 km southwestern of Thessaloníki in Greece on Thursday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The earthquake occurred at around 21:38 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 39.7693 degrees north and a longitude of 22.1133 degrees east, and at a depth of 3.08 km.

This is the 42th felt earthquake in Greece in the last 34 hours, according to the EMSC.

There were no reports of damage or casualties.
