A 6.0 magnitude earthquake hits Peru's Capital

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake jolted Lima and regions of central coastal Peru late Tuesday.

The quake hit at 9:54 pm local time (0254 GMT Wednesday), with an epicenter 33 kilometers southwest of Mala, some 100 kilometers south of Lima, and at a depth of 32 kilometers, according to Peru's Seismological Center.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages from the quake.
