Any kind of harassing fire from Afrin will respond retortion

Deputy Prime Minister and Government Spokesman Numan Kurtulmuş stated that any kind of harassing fire from Afrin region to Turkiye will respond with retortion.

Deputy Prime Minister and Government Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş came to Adıyaman with Health Minister Recep Akdag made explanations to the members of the press in the airport.

Responding to the questions of journalists Kurtulmuş, stated that harassment fire carried out from Syria’s Afrin region by YPG to Turkiye.

Kurtulmuş responded to the question of whether or not the land operations against the region would be carried out, “Now once I express it clearly: since Turkiye's attitude towards the terrorist formations in the north of Syria has been clear. We are supporting the territorial integrity of Syria. We are in a position to stand up against any kind of political destruction.”

Kurtulmuş, who informed that any kind of harassing fire from Afrin to Turkiye will respond retortion, said, “I made it clear once again that the sensitiveness of Turkiye against PYG/YPG must be taken into account. Besides, any kind of harassing fire from this organization Afrin to Turkiye will respond retortion under the rules of engagement.”
