Austria's Health Minister Anschober resigns citing health reasons

Austria's Minister for Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection Rudolf Anschober announced Monday his resignation due to health problems and overworking.

He said that he couldn’t continue in the grueling job of helping lead the country’s coronavirus response because of persistent personal health problems caused by overwork.

Rudolf Anschober has served as Minister of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection in the government of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz since January 2020.
