Beltagy suffers brain hemorrhage

The former Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party, Mohammed al Beltagy suffered a brain hemorrhage in prison.

Mohammed Beltagy, the father of Asma Beltagy who was martyred by junta forces, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at the prison.

Announced by the family in a written statement, Mohammad Beltagy had a brain hemorrhage in the prison. Mohammed Beltagy is the former Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political wing of Muslim Brotherhood [Ikhwan el Muslimeen] in Egypt and was not allowed to be visited by his family for 3 years.

The statement read that Egyptian administration, the Prison Administration, the Ministry of the Interior and the Chief Public Prosecutor are responsible for negative developments for the life and health of Beltagy.

Junta court ruled 2 years imprisonment for the smile of Beltagy

The junta court of Egypt had sentenced Secretary-General of Freedom and Justice Party Muhammed Beltagy to a two-year prison sentence for "smiling" at the hearing.

Muhammed Beltagy was among the activists on the Blue Marmara vessel in the aid fleet of Gaza.

During the repression of the protests, junta forces martyred Beltagy's 17-year-old daughter, Asma.
