Bolsonaro: We should learn to live with coronavirus

Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has urged regional leaders to abandon social distancing measures and instead learn to 'live with' coronavirus.

'This issue of Covid will continue for life. Social distancing measures will 'lead nowhere.',' he said at his weekly live webcast on social media.

Bolsonara, who had himself contracted with Coronavirus, has shunned social distancing throughout the pandemic and has since announced that he will not receive a vaccine.

Brazil is the third-hardest hit by the virus worldwide after the United States and India.

The country has so far reported 9,060,786 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 221,676 deaths and 7,923,794 recoveries.
